As many of you know, the Walt Disney Company/Marvel Entertainment has purposed itself to change our culture through entertainment. They seem purpose driven to promote a Woke, antichristian agenda.
I can’t say that I’m a fan of Marvel. I haven’t been a fan of Marvel in many years, and for many reasons. I don’t buy or read any of the Marvel books, nor do I watch any of the Marvel films.
I ask you, when is enough enough?
My earliest crankiness towards Marvel began, I think, beginning in high school as I first became aware of comic book Creator’s Rights. I came across a petition in the COMIC BUYER’S GUIDE demanding Marvel Comics return Jack Kirby’s original artwork.
In college, I became more aware of Creator’s Rights while reading Dave Sim’s editorials and letter pages in his (self-published) CEREBUS comic book series, as well as reading about the Creator’s Bill of Rights.

What has happened to morality in our culture? What has happened to morality in our entertainment? Why do some of our fictitious heroes act more like villains? And why are villains and monsters in entertainment treated like the good guys? While teaching Sequential Art to college students, I often start a conversation about these very topics. I ask the question: “What has happened to our morals?” Not too long ago, one student replied: “We have none.” How scary is that… especially coming from a young person who stated it in such a matter-of-fact fashion?
Comics, Sequential Art, is a powerful literary art form. It has the potential to tell important stories and ideas. It’s a wonderful medium in which to share the Gospel.
