Hollywood has finally gotten around to making a film based on the 14th-Century Arthurian poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." The original poem is a wonderful story with Christian themes and imagery. I liked the Green Knight character so much that I added him to THE SWORD OF EDEN graphic novel. I wanted to find out what he's been doing for all of these centuries. In the poem, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight are, seemingly, Christians. (Although, I added a spin on the Green Knight by suggesting that he was a false convert).
I don't know about this film, though. It may be worth watching. Maybe. I am skeptical. Could the filmmakers keep the Christian themes that are found in the poem...?
